Opening Day ~ Belmont Park: Wednesday, May 2ndSpecial Offer: The best way to add to your enjoyment of the races is taking the MTA Long Island Rail Road. The LIRR's "Belmont Special" package includes rail transportation and $1 discount off the $2 grandstand admission to the track. LIRR trains will operate to and from Belmont Park for all racing days.

For Travel to Belmont from New York City and Brooklyn
Belmont Park is only a half-hour from midtown Manhattan by train. Tickets for the Belmont Special can be purchased at LIRR stations and Ticket Machines in advance, or on the day of travel.

Buy Before Boarding and Save
Be sure to buy your ticket before boarding, as the on-board fare is $4 more. Belmont Package tickets are available at open ticket offices and full service (gray) Ticket Machines. Just press the "Getaways/Packages" button on the first screen, then select "Belmont Park." You can pay with cash, ATM/debit or credit cards. Ticket Machines are available at most stations.

At stations: one-way $6, round-trip $11
On-board: one-way $10, round-trip (not available)

Fares from Jamaica
At stations: one-way $5, round-trip $8

For Travel to Belmont from Long Island
The LIRR's discount package for travel from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties is valid for off-peak trains arriving in Jamaica in time to transfer to the "Belmont Special" to the Park.
