M of E - Electrician
Maintenance of Equipment Department
Responsibilities:
M of E Electricians are required to: inspect, maintain, repair and install electrical components such as armatures, generators, inverters/converters, motor alternators, regulators, traction motors, switchboards, lighting fixture, Magnet coils, jumpers, batteries, printed circuit cards, inside and outside wiring at shops, buildings and yards, and conduit work. Electricians also move cars within M of E territory and are offered job training on the Automatic Train Control System.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years electrical experience.
- Ability to trouble-shoot equipment.
- Mechanical ability, and ability to use various electrical meters and testing devices.
- Ability to read wiring schematic diagrams.
- Knowledge of relay logic.
