New Timetables Effective Monday, June 11th
On the Hudson Line—During the reverse peak, off peak and on weekends, Upper Hudson Line train schedules have been moved up to 19 minutes earlier, and trains will take an extra 3-5 minutes traveling along their route. See a timetable for possible changes to your train. In the AM reverse peak, the 8:17 AM train from Grand Central will now leave at 8:20 AM. Also, the 5:30 PM train from Poughkeepsie will no longer stop at Cold Spring and Garrison stations. Instead, the 5 PM train from Poughkeepsie will stop at these stations. On the Harlem Line— In the AM reverse peak, the 8:20 AM-peak train from Grand Central will now depart at 8:17 AM. Also, minor adjustments have been made to some late-night Wassaic shuttles. See a timetable for details. Be sure to pick up a new timetable at the Grand Central Information Booth or at outlying ticket offices to see how you may be affected by these service adjustments. Or you may view a timetable or check for new train times by visiting our schedules page.
New NJ TRANSIT Fares For Port Jervis and Pascack Valley Lines Effective June 1st The NJ TRANSIT fare increase set for Friday, June 1st will have no impact on Pascack Valley and Port Jervis line customers (except those traveling from Suffern) who currently commute to Hoboken Terminal. However, customers who transfer to NJ TRANSIT service at Secaucus Junction for Penn Station NY will see slight increases in their fares (monthly ticket fares will increase by $5 for Port Jervis Line customers; by $2 for Pascack Valley Line customers). Click here to see a table of the new June 1st fares for tickets from Metro-North stations to Penn Station NY: As part of their June 1 fare increase, NJ TRANSIT is also pushing back the start of the AM Peak period until 7 AM. Currently, the AM Peak Period for the Port Jervis and Pascack Valley Lines is 6 AM-9:30 AM for the MTA Metro-North Railroad portion and 6:30 AM-9:30 AM for the NJ TRANSIT portion. (These are based on Hoboken Terminal arrival times). For MTA Metro-North Railroad customers, this change means the 3:54 AM and 4:36 AM trains from Port Jervis and the 5:05 AM and 5:28 AM trains from Spring Valley are now considered "off peak."
Lower Hudson Line Platform Changes The next phase of the Hudson Line station rehabilitation project Starrted on Monday, April 16, will last for approximately eight months. During this phase, we will replace the inbound platforms at Hastings-on-Hudson, Dobbs Ferry and Irvington stations. This work will require changes in the way we operate trains at stations from Morris Heights through Ossining during the AM peak. Customers will be boarding morning trains from the platform opposite from the one they usually board from. (In other words, northbound trains will be arriving on southbound platforms, and southbound trains will be arriving on the northbound platforms.) Please look for signage with exact details at your station, and also listen for announcements in the event that operating conditions require a last-minute revision to track assignments. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Grand Central North Closed Weekends Because of low usage and to save costs, Grand Central North is closed on weekends. Weekday Hours remain the same.
Online Ticket Scams Beware of online ticket scams! The only official way to purchase Metro-North Railroad tickets online is from WebTicket Do not use these sites. If a railroad ticket offer seems too good to be true -- it probably is. You will never receive a ticket and you will have given someone access to your credit card information. Again, only purchase tickets online from WebTicket |
