Dagmar 2 is the duo version of New York and Boston-based Dagmar (The Band), which gave its debut performance at Joe's Pub in June 2005. Fronted by award-winning songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Jim Bauer and xtreme vocalist & percussionist Meghan McGeary, Dagmar 2 performs a song cycle written by Bauer about a guy who can't get out of bed in the morning and an insect goddess who plunges through the ether to rescue him. The duo and full band can also be found around town in places like The CuttingRoom, Arlene's Grocery and The Knitting Factory among others. The band's first CD, "Door No. 1", the first in the planned 3-CD, 3-part song cycle, was released in Sept 2006. The second CD, "Door No. 2", is slated for release in Jan 2008.

Dagmar 2 became members of MUNY in the summer of 2007.
